#What it is for

Tools that do work on our server (DNS lookups, fetching a feed, sending a test request) cost units. Tools that run entirely in your browser cost nothing. The account menu shows how many units you used in the last 24 hours.

#Cost per run

#Daily usage and accounts

The daily figure is the sum of your allowed runs in the last 24 hours, each multiplied by its cost. Guests are counted per IP address.

AccountDaily units shownRequest speed limitSaved workflows
Guest (not signed in)100Half the base rate3
Free account500Base rate8
Verified account (confirmed email)2000Double the base rate20

The daily figure is there for orientation. What actually stops a request is the speed limit below: when you hit it, the tool answers "too many requests" (HTTP 429) and tells you when to try again.

#Speed limits

Each server tool has its own speed limit, counted per browser session per minute and per IP address per hour. These are the base rates; your account multiplies them as in the table above.

An account that is signed in but has not confirmed its email gets the guest rate until it does.
