#What it is for

Check and clean a contact or product export before importing it: find duplicates, invalid emails, empty values and stray characters.

#What you enter

Drop or choose a CSV or Excel file. Quick queries: show all, recent (needs a date column), duplicates, rows with empty values, top 100.

#How it works

The file is read in your browser. A compressed copy is kept on the server for 30 minutes so the history panel can reopen it. The tools:

Remove rows
Match exact, contains, starts with, ends with, regex or empty, with a preview of the first five matches.
Find and replace
In one column or all, with regex and case options.
Clean data
Extra and non-breaking spaces, invisible characters, line breaks, tabs and emojis.
Validate
Email, URL, phone, number, date, duplicates or empty; invalid rows can be highlighted or removed.

#Reading the results

Validation marks the rows that fail. Look at a few before removing them all: a valid but unusual value may be flagged. The analysis section charts the columns.

#Example

Cleaning a contact list
Column: email
Validation: Email
Action: Remove invalid rows
Export: CSV

#Limits and gotchas

  • At most 10 open files per session; a saved copy expires after 30 minutes.
  • The duplicates query compares the first column only.
  • Export is CSV only.
