What does this tool clean?
- Non-breaking spaces (U+00A0), common when copying from web pages
- Zero-width characters: invisible joiners and non-joiners (U+200B, U+200C, U+200D, U+FEFF)
- Soft hyphens (U+00AD), hidden hyphenation hints
- Various space types: em and en spaces, thin, hair and figure spaces
- Directional marks: left-to-right and right-to-left markers
- Line separators: paragraph and line separator characters
- Control characters: hidden control codes that can break text processing
- Smart quotes, converted to standard ASCII quotes
